This three movement suite is based on the famous Christmas hymn tune "Vom Himmel Hoch", most known as "From Heaven Above to Earth I Come". Each movement is based on a line from one of the verses: 1. Welcome to Earth, O Noble Guest (a regal setting of the tune) 2. Ah, Dearest Jesus, Holy Child (a peaceful setting) 3. My Heart for Very Joy Doth Leap (a joyful setting) The three works could work together as one suite, or used separately with 1 as a prelude, 2 as an offertory, and 3 as a postlude. It was written as a dedication to Australian organist James Flores for his continued promotion of new organ works. It was written and recorded on a two manual instrument. It will hopefully add a wonderful touch to your Christmas or Advent services! Each movement is also available separately.
