I created this arrangement of "In The Garden" by C. Austin Miles for a funeral service I was asked to play for. I wanted to honor the melody and chords of the original tune, since the family had requested it, but I also wanted to play it in a style that was my own. This arrangement features a simple, returning interlude and three verses, each with a stylistic variation on the main melody. In addition to memorial and funeral services, this arrangement would be also appropriate for general worship services.
The dynamics and expressions included in this arrangement give an idea of how I would perform it. As with any music, follow where your heart leads you.
