Spotlights is a fantastic virtuoso piece for saxophone quartet (SATB) and concert band that was commissioned by the outstanding Austrian saxophone quartet Mobilis. It is an impressive and exceptionally spectacular piece in which every member of the saxophone family is featured. The most important ingredients of this solo work are virtuosity, rhythm and a good dollop of funk. It is a challenging, but rewarding piece for your saxophone soloists and yet very accessible to the audience.
Spotlights is een fantastisch virtuoos werk voor saxofoonkwartet (SATB) en harmonieorkest, geschreven in opdracht van het vooraanstaande Oostenrijkse saxofoonkwartet Mobilis. Het is een indrukwekkend en bijzonder spectaculaire werk waarin ieder lid van de saxofoonfamilie aan bod komt. De belangrijkste ingredienten van dit solowerk zijn virtuositeit, ritme en een goede portie funk. C'est une oeuvre impressionnante et exceptionnellement spectaculaire dans laquelle chaque membre de la famille des saxophones est mis en vedette. Les ingredients les plus importants de cette oeuvre solo sont la virtuosite, le rythme et une bonne dose de funk.
