Composed by Dorothy Heyward, Du Bose Heyward, George Gershwin, and Ira Gershwin. Arranged by Larry & Elaine Conger. Jazz. Score and parts. 3 pages. Larry Conger/Dulcimerican Music #4347503. Published by Larry Conger/Dulcimerican Music (A0.509736).
This George Gershwin classic from "Porgy and Bess" is arranged for mountain dulcimer duet in 1-5-8 or DAD tuning. Both parts make use of a capo on the 1st fret, pitching the song in the key of Em. Also, both parts make use of a 1+ fret.
Mildly challenging for intermediate level mountain dulcimer players. One part is intended for a standard dulcimer and the second part is intended for a bass dulcimer. A second standard dulcimer can easily play the bass part of no bass dulcimer is available.
Two pages. Tablature and guitar accompaniment chords are included with the download.
